Summer is almost upon us. And one way to hold down the pain of gas prices is to travel closer to home. To that end, we are happy to plug a destination for Monday lunch hour:

The state travel and tourism folks will be having a trade show at the River Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, May 15.

You can pick up travel info from booths of tourist associations, cities and private businesses. There also will be giveaways of discount coupons, admission tickets and gift certifications for the likes of Garvan Woodland Gardens,  the Hot Springs Mountain tower, gift baskets from the Ozarks and El Dorado and the Peabody hotel, etc.
