USA Today reports that rural young men who drive pickups are the most likely not to wear seatbealts. And die in traffic accidents. An accompanying table says that of the 565 people killed in Arkansas traffic accidents in 2004, 68 percent were not wearing seat belts. Don’t expect to read this in the Democrat-Gazette, by the way. Reporting on seatbelt use in fatal accidents is contrary to policy.
