I didn’t post this earlier, because I thought it would surely be in the LR edition of the D-G. But no. I know that the Tuesday paper is small and it’s hard to squeeze in all the work of a big staff, but this one is a water cooler special.

The 72-year-old mayor of Waldron, also a candidate for Scott County judge, has been charged with abuse of office and solicting for prostitution. No, there’s no classic red light district in sleepy Waldron. But in addition to paying a couple of women for sex, the mayor is accused of trading out city water service for sexual favors.
