Mike Hathorn is conceding the second-place finish to Tim Wooldridge in the Democratic primary for lieutenant governor. Wooldridge will face Bill Halter in a June 13 runoff.
“I’ve congratulated all three of my opponents on a great race,” Hathorn told us over the telephone. “I wish Tim and Bill the best of luck in the next three weeks. I know they’ll have a hard-fought campaign just as they’ve had over last few months. Ultimately I think the Democratic Party will be the ultimate victor, and I know we’ll have a great candidate nominated on June 13.”
Asked if he will endorse Wooldridge or Halter, Hathorn said, “I may. I’m considering it, and I’ve been talking to the other campaigns, but I have not made that decision yet.”
We also understand that Robert Herzfeld has conceded the second-place finish to Paul Suskie in the Democratic primary for attorney general. Suskie will face Dustin McDaniel in the runoff.
