LRPD reports that a motorcyclist, Chase Richardson, 22, of Conway, died of injuries suffered shortly before 1 a.m. today when he lost control of his Yamaha motorcycle on River Mountain Road near the I-430 bridge. A witness, Billy Kenny, told police that Richardson started to speed away “then all he saw was sparks and smoke.” Richardson apparently lost control when braking for a curve while traveling westbound. The cycle traveled 31 feet on its side before hitting a guard rail and then traveled another 71 feet before stopping.
