How nice that former Republican Congressman Tommy Robinson has agreed to serve a five-day jail sentence for assault — when he feels up to it, of course. It brought back memories of tough-talking TR as county sheriff. Refusing a judge’s order over jail conidtions. Putting deputies with shotguns in convenience stores. Generally acting the fool. It prompted this classic editorial cartoon from a young cartoonist name of Mike Gauldin, who’d go on to be Gov. Bill Clinton’s press secretary, and now, in addition to his Washington labors, the Arkansas Times’ editorial cartoonist. (Kudos have already arrived from matildaintherock.)
