Voting was heavier than usual for a special election at my precinct but still very light by around 10 a.m. Around 22 people had voted by then.
The fellow assisting those who wished to vote electronically was TOO helpful. In fact, in walking voters through the various touch-screen procedures, he actually watched how you marked your electronic ballot. Helpful, but offputting.
In fact, the positioning of the electronic voting machine also allowed everybody else in the room to see how you voted, since the screen faced the open room and there was no way to shield your marked ballot from the poll workers and other voters.
Is this common?
