An event for political junkies’ calendar this week:

Tom Hamburger and Peter Wallsten of the Los Angeles Times, who’ve written “One -Party Country: The Republican Plan for Dominance in the 21st Century,” will speak at the library’s Darragh Center at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The session, sponsored by the Political Animals and the library, is open to the public. They’ll also speak at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Clinton School in a session for students, faculty and guests.
