Lame duck Gov. Mike Huckabee tells Brummett that he now supports instant removal of the full sales tax on groceries, as would-be Republican successor A$a does. Huckabee does a better job of making the case, Brummett notes. That is, if state needs come up short, then new taxes might have to be considered.

Noted: Huckabee says he and Beebe were still right to fight the intitiated act to remove the tax in 2002. This, you might have noticed, is not Hutchinson’s view.
