Arkansas First Lady Janet Huckabee is recovering after undergoing surgery Friday to remove her gallbladder, the governor’s office said.

Dr. W. Everett Tucker performed the outpatient surgery laproscopically at Baptist Medical Center.

Huckabee underwent surgery for a double knee replacement six weeks ago and while recovering, developed symptoms diagnosed as a gallstone, the governor’s office said. It was not believed that the gallbladder condition was created or aggravated by the previous surgery.
