With a bit of humor, Brummett illustrates a few of the problems in Sen. Shawn Womack’s bill to punish gay people by making it illegal for them to adopt or be foster parents. It’s a setup to say he expects Gov. Beebe to face his first big test when this bill reaches him. He says Beebe knows better. He doesn’t say he expects Beebe to do the right thing. When you think about it, that’s a harsh judgment.
