I give in. Maybe there is something to hysteria about the Minnesota bridge collapse. NY Times blog is linking you all over the place to how well our country’s bridges are inspected, how quickly they are repaired, etc.

Gov. Mike Beebe sent a message earlier this evening that everything was cool in Arkansas, but if, need be, he’d have a meeting and he could tell from the body language of the engineers and highway guys and stuff who was telling the truth whether our bridges were safe or not. So rest easy on your commute into LR tomorrow, Cabotians.

Here’s a whole lot of people telling you how safe our bridges are. Please remember that Minnesota typically scores higher on standardized school tests than Arkansas.
