We shared yesterday an e-mail from Arkansas Republican Party director Karen Ray in which she said she’d likely be working with the Farm Bureau on immigration measures and in which she lectured an unnamed Republican lawmaker about the dangers of having the party look too hateful on racial issues.

She wouldn’t talk to us about it.

But she has chatted today with the AP’s Andrew DeMillo. And, not too surprisingly, some of the Repubs currently staging the big immigration show trials out at the Capitol aren’t too happy about Ray. As was also indicated in our item yesterday.

UPDATE: Er, speaking of immigration law. Either Mike Beebe isn’t the smarted legislator/government official ever to stride the halls of the Capitol or he’s a liar. You read. You decide.
