BFI Waste Services, which operates the landfill in Southwest Little Rock, will pay $190,780 to settle a sex discrimination suit, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced today.
According to a federal lawsuit, BFI denied one woman an opportunity to apply and denied hiring two other women as truck drivers, in spite of their qualifications. The EEOC filed the suit after an initial attempt at a settlement failed.
