When we can, we try to oblige readers who come seeking answers to questions:

Q: I somehow missed a couple of election results — 1) the North Little Rock perv trying to get back in the state ledge and 2) the dead county judge down in South Arkansas, Chicot County as I recall.

A: Dwayne Dobbins, who resigned from the legislature after a plea bargain to sexually molesting a teen and who turned up as an 11th-hour filer this year for a House seat his wife held, was unopposed in the Democratic primary and faces no general election opposition. The Green Party may still be searching for a candidate.

Fred Zieman, who died in March after filing to run for re-election for Chicot County judge, didn’t do so hot in the election either, though people opposing the remaining choice had run ads urging a vote for Zieman. Mack Ball Jr. beat the late Zieman about 1,350 to 730.
