News headline: In an interview with People magazine, Bill Clinton does not rule out possibility that Chelsea Clinton might run for president some day.
Asked in an interview with People magazine, to appear today, whether his 28-year-old daughter Chelsea Clinton would ever consider running for office, the ex-president said: “I don’t know.
“If you asked me this before (January’s Democratic nominating contest in) Iowa, I would have said: ‘No way. She is too allergic to anything we do.’ But she is really good at it.”
After seeing what her mother has endured — not to mention some of the rough questioning Chelsea experienced herself in being asked to account for her father’s personal foibles — it would take a big gulp to jump into political waters from a solid career with at least some degree of a private life. On the other hand, she might aspire to even the family record.
I don’t have a clue on her ambitions. But I’ve known her casually since she was an infant. On brains, energy, composure and knowledge from education, dinner table conversation, travel and an eyewitness view on history, she would start with a strong resume.
