Dickinson Theatres, which recently opened the Chenal 9 IMAX Theatres in western Little Rock, is taking over the Lakewood 8 in North Little Rock as of June 27. It promises lobby and restroom improvements and stadium seating in some of the theaters. It also indicates it’s negotiating “additional theaters,” perhaps a reference to the Breckenridge 12, operated by Regal as the Lakewood 8 has been.

UPDATE: Heard back from Dickinson. The additional negotiations refer to the possibility of additional auditoriums at Lakewood, not an interest in Breckenridge. (In retrospect, that really didn’t make sense given the relative proximity of the new theater in Chenal.)
