A former Arkie who now lives in Fort Worth was prompted to send this photo of a shale drilling rig in his neighborhood following news of massive exploration of wildlife management areas in Arkansas He comments:

I thought we were done drillin’ in my Fort Worth neighborhood but a new one sprouted two weeks ago.  Note the humans about a fourth of the way up.  The trees in the background are on the Trinity River and I guess that is why there is some temporary screening..haven’t noticed that on other rigs around town.  This is on Randol Mill Road west of I-820.

I cannot believe G & FC is allowing drilling.  Wait, yes I can.  The drill rig will disappear in a month or so, but the wellhead and pipelines are there for generations.
