The dampening of Arkansas’s dry counties, thanks to a little legislative legerdemain a few years back, continues apace. Faulkner and Craighead are already awash in, ahem, private clubs dispensing booze. Saline County is getting into the act.

Yesterday, the ABC approved a second drinks permit for a conventional Saline restaurant — an Applebee’s in Benton. Dizzy’s previously had the monopoly (in addition to some traditional pure private club outlets.) There will be more, of course. Got to have booze to get that convention business, see.
