Both the Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News are reporting that police believe they may have averted an assassination attempt on Barack Obama. Aurora police arrested a man with a high-powered scope, rifles and methamphetamine during a traffic stop. The Post says police will hold a press conference at 4 p.m. Tuesday to elaborate on why they are investigating a connection to Obama.
