The Democrat-Gazette’s new rich folks party magazine, Arkansas Life, hit mailboxes yesterday. The database contractor they hired to assemble the upscale mailing list for this assault on the customers of Soiree, Inviting Arkansas, At Home Arkansas, AY, etc., screwed up. I got one.

It’s a slick production. With no Casual Male, Home Depot or Sonic coupons, it was not much use to me. But I did take a quick look at the wine feature since I take a nip now and then. The article recommended five wine buys for the month — the first at $50 a bottle and going up from there to $150.  Hell, that’d buy a month’s supply of Ernest and Julio’s at my place.
