It’s a small point, but it was a big applause line and another one of the lies John McCain told about Sarah Palin. Go here for the truth about the non-luxurious, aging state plane that Palin did NOT sell on e-Bay, for a profit or otherwise. e-Bay wasn’t her original idea. Selling the plane wasn’t her original idea. In other words, the applause line is just about all fiction — or, more succinctly, a lie. Add it to the Bridge to Nowhere lie.
Sometimes Palin’s errors seem to be just lack of knowledge.
Speaking before voters in Colorado Springs, the Republican vice presidential nominee claimed that lending giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had “gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers.” The companies, as McClatchy reported, “aren’t taxpayer funded but operate as private companies. The takeover may result in a taxpayer bailout during reorganization.”
