Among a string of tall tales, Huckabee floated the nutty — and irresponsible — notion that an “economic terrorist” has been at work to cause the world market collapse. In whose interest? He didn’t say. That unified conspiracy theory hasn’t been perfected yet. Stay tuned for next week’s show.

I was struck by the carelessness with which Huckabee allowed misrepresentations, untruths and completely unsupported speculation to be broadcast unchecked during his show. As both a former presidential candidate and the host of an hour-long prime-time show, I would have expected more rigorous attention to facts and accuracy.
