Tough times continue at UCA, with the announcement of pay and hiring freezes and other measures to bring the budget into line. It would be interesting to know how many people make more than $100,000 at UCA — and at other Arkansas college campuses. All at UCA have been asked to take 5 percent pay cuts.

In the face of this, it’s hard to credit persistent talk — in some quarters at least — of restoring Lu Hardin to UCA’s presidency.
