Andrew Golden, who went to prison at age 11 (1998 photo) for his role in the Westside School shootings, recently sought to obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon. The application has been turned down on account of his past.
You can read all about it in an exclusive story by David Koon in this week’s Arkansas Times, now on the web.
Also: Here’s the actual application. And you can go here for the denial letter.
Golden, unlike his co-defendant Mitchell Johnson, has not been in trouble with the law since being released from federal custody at the age of 21. But questions about the accuracy of his statements on the permit application could change that. The news also sheds light on his whereabouts, a fact ordered shielded in a pending lawsuit over the shootings.
