Curtis Lavelle Vance, accused in the slaying of KATV reporter Anne Pressly, had a brief appearance in Circuit Court today. He declined a mental evaluation. His defense presumably will be simply that he didn’t do it. Unless there’s a plea bargain.

UPDATE: Fox 16 reports that Vance again spoke to reporters as he left court. He suggested someone else was responsible and said he had an alibi for the night Pressly was beaten. 16’s film follows.
