Rep. Jon Woods (R-Funny Farm and Springdale) presented Sen. Steve Faris’ right to hunt and fish constitutional amendment in the House Monday. According to my legislative source, Woods was asked if he had hunting and fishing licenses. Yes, he reportedly said. Current? Yes, he reportedly said.
It would not appear to be so.
I called the Game and Fish Commission. Licenses (like concealed weapon permits) are a matter of public record. The public record doesn’t list Woods among hunting and fishing license holders. (Woods does have a concealed carry permit, which clearly establishes his bona fides to push that resolution for unfettered semi-automatic rifle use in America.) He had a hunting license. It expired last June. The fishing license expired last July. You missed some prime time, sport.
I’m seeking a comment from the rock ‘n’ roll legislator on the reported discrepancy. Rep. Woods, you also still owe me a callback on another little matter.
