He’s right far less often than a broken clock. But today’s an exception. In a speech, he endorsed gay marriage. (Noted belatedly: It’s the state-by-state approach. But that still is a sharp divergence from the Republican base, who’d prefer law or amendment banning it everywhere, if not a return of criminalization of gay people. I’ll credit him for a step in right direction.)
