The state Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission has filed its response to Circuit Judge Willard Proctor’s procedural objections to its action to remove him from the bench. Feh.
By the way: There’s been some noise lately that, should the Supreme Court complete action to remove Proctor, that he might run for the bench again. Given the clarity of his thinking of late, it wouldn’t surprise me to hear such a thought had crossed his mind. But, if he runs, he can’t sit. If removal occurs, it would be under a statute that says explicitly that any person so removed cannot serve again as a judge.
