State Rep. Lindsley Smith of Fayetteville has been hired by Mayor Lioneld Jordan to be the city’s communications director, at $73,000 per year. She is a lawyer and taught part-time at UA the last nine years. She’s in her final House term and will continue to hold the seat until the end of 2010.
