An apology is in order here to Tim Griffin, Republican candidate for 2nd District Congress. Because a telephone poll received at my house last night seemed designed to inform the respondent about U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder’s health care voting record and evaluate him in light of that, I made the assumption it was coming from Griffin or a sympathetic source.

I still don’t know for sure if the call last night is one and the same, but a liberal organization has also been in the field gauging the impact of health care on Vic Snyder’s candidacy. The results, I’m gathering, will not be good if you like Vic Snyder.

No doubt about it. A hard sell lies ahead for supporters of more and better health coverage for more Americans, strange as that seems to say. If they can’t sell it, many will lose. Then, we all lose.
