Rep. Robert Moore of Arkansas City got the votes of 63 colleagues today to be elected as House speaker in the 2011 legislative session. His win over Rep. Johnnie Roebuck was expected. It has become a powerful position, thanks to control of chairmanships and more.

Somehow, I don’t think Moore will emulate Robbie Wills as a multi-media maven, with Twitter, blog and local TV appearances.

The legislature stands adjourned.
