The AFL-CIO announced its endorsements in the Democratic primary today. Few surprises (Bill Halter for U.S. Senate; Joyce Elliott for 2nd District Congress). Many dual (and triple) endorsements in several races.
I was a little surprised to see Chad Causey land the endorsement for 1st District Congress. More evidence that he’s viewed as a quasi-incumbent as Marion Berry’s hand-picked successor. As if ….

SPEAKING OF LABOR: President Obama today made 15 recess appointments, including an NLRB board member that Sen. Blanche Lincoln (Chamber of Commerce Party, D.C.) had opposed. Repubs immediately made this sound like nuclear war, when George W. Bush made 170 recess appointments.
