It’ll be Thursday evening, May 6, at the River Market Pavilion. Beer, non-beer, music and timed races are on tap, with prizes for design, speed and paint. It was great fun last year, even for a former den leader who dug up his son’s dusty Plum Loco (for the distinctive paint job) and saw it barely limp to the finish line. Know that you can buy ready-to-run kits at all the hobby stores.

Here’s a printable application form. But you can speed an entry by calling Lindsey Millar at 375-2985. He’s busy getting the bracket ready and will take your credit card number. The event will benefit the Center for Youth and Families Boy Scout troop.
