Republican congressional candidate Tim Griffin, who worked mightily to reduce the turnout of black voters in Florida in behalf of George W. Bush, commemorates Juneteenth today.

The Arkansas Republican Party also Twittered a salute to Juneteenth. As luck would have it, they also sent out a photo of the state committee meeting today. Doesn’t exactly look like a Juneteenth celebration, or at least one well populated by descendants of the people who got the happy news of emancipation in 1865.
