The Hillcrest Residents Association is buzzing about an outbreak of graffiti “tagging” in the neighborhood, including spray painting of emblems on six buildings along or near the 2700-2900 blocks of Kavanaugh Boulevard in the Hillcrest shopping area last Thursday night. Graffiti was reported at Delta Bank, Kroger, Hillcrest Junk, Vieux Carre/Afterthought, the building housing Bossa Nova and an empty building at 2922 Kavavaugh.

The theory is that the work is a group’s territorial marking. Security cameras came up with photos of a couple of men and their SUV at work last week. There’s more video. If you have helpful info, call the cops.
