As for 6:45 AM traffic is at a standstill in the eastbound lanes of I-30 between the 98 and 106 mile markers [Malvern exit for US 270 to Old Military Road, five miles south of the U.S. 70 exit to Hot Springs] Commercial carriers are jackknifed and ice has stopped traffic.

Eastbound I-30 traffic is being diverted to Highway 67.

UPDATE: at 10:30 a.m., the State Police reports Interstate 30 is moving again.
