A friend of the Times sends in this report about a break-in at ACLU Arkansas headquarters over the weekend.
Someone broke into the American Civil Liberties Union of Arkansas offices between late Friday night and 3 p.m. Saturday, taking four computers and a small, undisclosed amount of cash, ACLU Executive Director Rita Sklar said Saturday afternoon. A ground floor window on the east side of the building, located at at 904 W. Second St., was broken, according to the Little Rock Police Department. The law offices of Lavey and Burnett, located on the second floor of the same building, were also broken into.
“The important thing is, no client information was compromised. It is not stored on individual computers but is backed up and stored in a secure, second location,” Sklar said.
