Contrary to what some people believe, the property information kept on the Pulaski County assessor’s website is still free, according to Assessor Janet Troutman Ward. The Arkansas Times received an e-mail from a person who said the assessor had begun charging a $200 registration fee and a per-minute usage fee. That is untrue, Ward said. She said the office had changed vendors, then went back to the old vendor when the new one proved unsatisfactory, and changes in the system had confused some users. Anyone who’s having trouble accessing the information for free should call the assessor’s office, 340-6170, for assistance, she said.
