I thought elwood and others might be putting us on with tales of 18 inches of new snow in Northwest Arkansas. But Rick Baber says his wife’s Springdale backyard photo was taken a couple of hours ago and I’m inclined to think he’s not exaggerating much when he said he thinks the snowfall has been around TWO FEET. KFSM is calling the snowfall “historic” — 17 inches measured in Springdale; 19 in Siloam Springs; 25 in Gentry.

UPDATE: D-G website has some good bumper car video from John Barrow Road this morning. State Police report dozens of jackknifed semis on I-40.
