A nice quiet day for me, though the demonstrator shown above in the River Market took to the streets to suggest a pretty serious sacrifice.
Worth noting:
* Judge eats Mike Huckabee alive as he tries to explain how same-sex marriage is unconstitutional.
* I mentioned yesterday that the attorney general had rejected some wording on the first effort at getting a medical marijuana initiative approved for the ballot. It’s just a step in the process. This note from the group working on it:
With the beginning of the ballot title review process, we are on track to finish drafting the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act. When finished, we will have an initiative that protects sick and dying patients in Arkansas, while avoiding the pitfalls of medical marijuana legislation passed in other states. After collecting signatures, the Act will be placed on the 2012 statewide ballot and voters will be given a chance to make a compassionate choice.
About Arkansans for Compassionate Care
Arkansans for Compassionate Care is a coalition of concerned physicians, patients, and allies who agree that sick and dying patients should have access to medical marijuana with a doctor’s recommendation.
* An independent review finds no fault with federal scientists on their use of data about climate change. No matter. Facts and science won’t deter the conspiracy theorists.
