The day the earth stood still.

U.S. Rep. Mike Ross voted against the House-passed bill to end federal support for National Public Radio.

Tim Griffin, Rick Crawford and Steve Womack — the Arkansas Republican troika — voted to take the money away.

UPDATE: To cover this apostasy, Ross zipped out a news release announcing he’d be co-chairing a Second Amendment Task Force to “defend” the 2nd Amendment. Who knew it was under attack? To come: Ross news releases saying he’s joined task forces to protect Congress from queers, Muslims and anyone who doesn’t believe that the Bible is literally true. God, guns and gays have never failed Mike Ross before. He may announce an anti-flag-burning task force, too.
