Metroplan has updated population numbers in existing Little Rock wards in preparation for redrawing the wards to reflect population changes. Nearly all the city growth was in Wards 5 and 7, up 11,132 and 4, 861 respectively. Those wards will have to shrink. The changes in the other wards: Ward 1, -3,906 ; Ward 2, -621; Ward 3, -1,089; Ward 4, -168; Ward 6, +182. Ward 1, then, will have to grow a good bit.
