John Brummett captures the essence of Attorney General Dustin McDaniel’s $250,000 accounting boondoggle to review spending of state desegregation money in Pulaski County. It was a waste of money to tell us something we already knew and that wasn’t improper to begin with.

That’s the truth. Sad to say the political reality is that no Arkansas politician ever hurt his standing by beating up on the Pulaski County school districts, a cold calculation by which McDaniel knew he could squander $250,000 without worry of negative fallout.
