I caught some of this year’s Arkansas high school Quiz Bowl state championships on AETN last weekend. As usual, had I been on a team, we’d have been skunked.

They won’t get the coverage an average conference-winning basketball team gets in the sports pages, so here are the winners, with more detailed info on the jump:

1A — Norfork
2A — Murfreesboro
3A — Little Rock Episcopal Collegiate
4A — Farmington
5A — Watson Chapel
6A — Little Rock Parkview
7A — Cabot

The teams were peppered, I’m happy to say, with nominees, finalists and winners in our recent Academic All-Star Team competition.
