Sounds quiet in Arkansas, from all I can tell from a quick look around.
It’s a glorious day, cool and sunny in San Francisco, where the streets are thronged with thousands of people in costumed running getups after the 100th running of the Bay to Breakers 12K footrace, a combination athletic event and happening. It’s a sight.
After all these years, I’m finally going to see Beach Blanket Babylon tonight, then walk over to Tony’s Napoletana for pizza.
I need to work on a column tomorrow. But I thought Norma hit so many good points in her summary on our former governor’s much-hyped abandonment of presidential hopes that I just might ask her to guest for me this week. What is there to add, really?
