The city of Little Rock has announced a series of hearings to discuss a sales tax proposal for a special election in September — a permanent increase of the existing half-cent tax by 150 percent, to 1.25 cents on the dollar, for operations, and an eight-year half-cent tax for capital projects. These will support a list of “priority needs” outlined this week.
