It’s old news, but it’s always a worthy reminder whenever there’s reporting on the Republican myth that voter photo ID laws are about preventing vote fraud. Voter impersonation at the polls simply doesn’t happen. One reason is simply practical: Replicating it in outcome-enhancing ways is all but impossible.
The voter “fraud” bills are about making it harder for poor people, old people and other Democratic-friendly voter segments to vote. Period.
