It’s school election day and contested issues include school board seats in Little Rock and North Little Rock.

Votes in Zone 1 in Little Rock might not think there’s an election because only the name of Norma Johnson appears on the ballot. But she has a write-in opponent, Loretta Hendrix, and, in what will be a lightly contested election, every vote will count. Johnson has the endorsement of the Little Rock Education Association. I wrote about this particular race earlier.

Polls are open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. You can find the polls here for Zone 1 in Little Rock and the contested race in Zone 5 in North Little Rock pitting incumbent Scott Teague against Jimmy Ard.
