The state medical examiner has officially found the manner of death of Dexter Williams of Maumelle “undetermined.” The cause was found to be asphyxia and a combination of methamphetamine and amphetamine intoxication. Williams was found dead in a hot tub on Labor Day. The case drew wide media attention because Brett Cummins, then a meteorologist for Channel 4, awoke in the tub that morning to find the body of his friend.

The statement issued by Maumelle police said there was no finding of strangulation.
